Review: Abstraction Cafe & Bistro – A Hidden Gem in Regina Visited Abstraction Cafe & Bistro for the first time on February 8, 2025, and was pleasantly surprised by this small yet cozy restaurant near downtown Regina. The owners, Hayat and Fareed, were both making food and serving customers, displaying a high level of professionalism and warmth. Their friendly demeanor added to the welcoming atmosphere. The food truly tasted homemade, which made the experience even better. We ordered the Lamb Shawarma, Chicken Wrap, and Baba Ganoush—each dish was outstanding in flavor and quality. The portions were satisfying, and the freshness was evident in every bite. Prices were reasonable, making it a great spot for a delicious meal without breaking the bank. Overall, a must-try eatery in Regina! Highly recommended!

I was shocked to learn about this cafe just recently but I am so glad I did. Even though there aren’t many breakfast options if you are looking for a brunch spot, all their food options are tasty and on top of that, very reasonably priced. I am picky with my coffee drinks and I was quite surprised at how well my coffee was made. I could confidently say it is better than your overpriced Starbucks drink. To make the experience even better than it was, the owners are very hospitable, respectful and kind. I am bummed that I haven’t supported this local family’s business sooner as they’ve been here for 20 years now but better late than never, and I highly recommend anyone to do the same!

"I recently visited this cafe and was blown away by their Middle Eastern offerings. The food took me right back to my childhood, reminding me of home. The old man who served me was incredibly sweet, and the service was top-notch. Honestly, this place is one of the most underrated cafes I've come across. Highly recommend it!"

Such friendly people and wonderful service. Got the chicken shawarma with the pasta salad as many have recommended. So good! Tabouleh salad was light and citrusy as well. Will definitely be back!

I had a lovely cafe experience here. I had the lamb shawarma, lentil soup and Turkish coffee and was delighted by all of them. The cafe was cozy, and the staff took a lot of care in providing a good experience.

What a cool little spot. First time there on a lunch date with my daughter. Fast, friendly service and the Stromboli had so much flavor, it was delicious. Definitely will be going back.

I took two friends from the Middle East to Abstraction cafe, and we all loved it! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious with fresh, authentic flavors. My friends especially enjoyed the excellent coffee. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to share a great experience!
